Hmmmmmmmm... it's the Thursday before the "Third Saturday of October" and it's all quiet here on the western front. Is this the calm before the out of control storm that breaks tomorrow and Saturday? Just checking the pulse out there.

I think that is the feeling everywhere. I live in Nashville Tn just a couple hours West of Knoxville and it's been very quiet. I listen to 104.5 sports talk in the mornings and afternoons and the chatter from fans has been very quiet this week.

I think there is cautious optomism from most non-VK/bigmrwhatever Vol fans and quiet hope from most Alabama fans. I think whoever wins will be very loud after the game, but not until then.

That's because all they are talking about is how great the Titans might be now. I wish some of them had the nuts to step up and actually criticize the Titans organization.

If you want more talk about the UT-Bama game, I suggest listening to Bill King on 560AM. Yeah, he supports UT, but he's fair to all sides, IMO.

For some reason, Bama fans are asked if they can count on their own fingers and toes in order to understand how bad they are supposed to get beat by. This guy has trouble putting together a sentence with a correct usage of subject, noun, verb, and predicate. Also, spelling seems to be a challenge. It's just an observation. By the way, the University of Tennessee is ranked in the bottom 100 of public universities.
