Checking out the game here. Do we have some sort of defense against the run?? I think they're getting 7 or 8 yards per carry here

well, the Vols won. beat a 20 point dog by one point. don't know why AF decided to go for 2 after their last TD. and I'm damn surprised they didn't get the 2. any of you guys go to the game? what in the hell happened?

It will be good to come back down to Earth after this game, that really wasn't as close as the score indicated. AF got some serious breaks there at the end and took advantage of them. Much credit to them.

FSU almost had it happen to them tonight too. The two teams with the two biggest wins of last week both had off games tonight. Both were lucky to escape.

dxwwf3.....did you go to the game? From watching the game tracker thingy on ESPN.com and listening to some of it on the radio, I got the impression that our offense , particilarly Ainge, put in another fine performance. Arian Foster did not seem to be much of a factor, though.

On the defensive side, it appeared that no one was able to stop the Air Force run game. That concerns me. They would always start at their own 20 or worse and about 8 or 10 plays later it would suddenly be 1st ang goal from the 8 or something like that. The Tennessee D did such a great job last week. I would hate to think they just overlooked Air Force and didn't show up. On the other hand, I would hate to think that we don't have an effective defense against a good running game.

Yeah I was there. The offense was unreal. The defense can get a mulligan because of how efficient AF ran that offense. They usually have multiple turnovers, but played very solid and to be honest, I couldn't even tell who had the ball half of the time.

We'll see how it goes next week.

I think Tenn can win the East but not the SEC. Tenn will be much better then last year but still have a little ways togo.

haha in all honesty, they outschemed us. period. and we just couldn't stop it. Don't know why they had plently of trick/option/run plays. We just couldn't tell where the ball was until 10 yards down the field. Oh well they just had a total different type of offense for our D to handle. I'm not trying to make up excuses or anything. Our D was horrible saturday. But I'm not gonna worry about it because we don't face another team with that type of offense
